Personally prefer over-ear, but these... September 1, 2010 Lorr Emmet ...these were a steal at $20. Of course, I purchased them on sale.
I had been looking for a new pair of headphones for awhile, and had decided that I didn't want earbuds. However, I couldn't resist $20 headphones from Ultimate Ears. So, I bought them. I've been using them for just about two weeks now, and I have some likes and dislikes (just like any picky shopper).
I like the sound quality. They really sounds great, and this is largely due to the superb noise isolation. Because of this, the frequencies are much better defined than that of headphones similar to iPod/iPhone headphones (which is what I used until now). Not to mention the bass quality.
However, a few things bug me--if only slightly. Whenever the headphones are on, but not producing sound (i.e. a silent moment in a film), a very noticeable static can be distracting. I'd also like for the cord to be a little longer, but that is a minor complaint since these were clearly designed primarily handheld devices and not computers. Lastly, it took me a bit to figure out which earphone was right and left. The included paperwork didn't mention it, but I did find the minuscule "r" and "l" on each bud (Hint: the right one has a red band while the left one has a black one).
In summary: good headphones for handheld use, but don't drive with 'em both in--you might not hear traffic around you.

Good for the price, acceptable sound quality August 13, 2010 M. Raval (New Jersey) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Clearly not audiophile sound quality, but I use them primarily at the gym so it's ok. They come with three sizes of rubber inserts to choose from, which was great b/c standard earplugs never fit my ears. The phone earpiece feature is nice to have, but imagine speaking with earplugs on if you want to get an idea of what it feels like to use them. Also, they come with a little black snap case for easy storage and transport; a great idea, since they are usually subject to damage while wrapping up or untangling the cord, rather than general usage. I picked these up on clearance for a lot less, but they work well for a well-made lower end set.
Good..Could be better!! February 9, 2010 C. Becerra (Venezuela) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Is a good device, good response and bass reliable. The mic and music control could be done more discret...but for the price is a good option

i been skepticsl of what i need to choose from Sennheiser cx 500 and this Metro Fi 150v , so I choose the Metro.fi 150v instead of cx500, now suffered for what i sellected , Ok the sound is good but when you move and the wire was contacted to your shirt is like you have battered your ear and sound awful to your ears , and I don't like that, next is always pop up in your ears that's why i bought this so that it will not pop up in my ears, but it pop up in my ears i try all the sizes of the ear bud , it is ok when you are not moving it will not pop up, but you move it start to pop up, the noise isolation is good you can't hear anything even i volume up my tv or sound out side that's the good part , next time i will not buy this kind of ear phone again. the swith is not functioning . I will not recommended this to you ..... or in my friend... good luck
