THE WORST earbuds ever!!! July 29, 2010 aloharebecca These are the worst headphones. Save yourself some grief and avoid them at all costs. I have had two brand new pairs of these in the past six months and both have gone out on me! With the first pair, the sound in one of the earbuds shorted out and there was no way to recover it. There is nothing more frustrating than running with sound only in one ear. I didn't have to worry because the other earbud went out about a week after, so they were as good as garbage!
Now, I've worked in PR for consumer electronics, and I try not to judge a single product because I know there is always different factors coming into play. Stupid me went and bought the exact same headphones and, lo and behold, the exact same thing happened! Within 3 months, the headphones are now totally inoperable - first one earbud went and then the other. I was stupid to buy these in the first place and I warn you to buy some Sony's or another decent brand if you want headphones that will last.
great earbuds to use with my Ipod or laptop July 16, 2010 Marie Betro (Pennsylvania) These earbuds are great, especially for someone, like me, whose ears are too small for the earbuds that come with an Ipod.
Great product, but somewhat bad design July 14, 2010 Mgamerz (Boise, ID USA) Kind of like the Apple iPhone 4, these Skullcandy INK'D headphones are really impressive but have a industrial design flaw. Being different than the aforementioned however, these Skullcandy headphones have a somewhat weak durability in my experience.
No, I'm not saying if you are person who likes music (who doesn't?), you shouldn't buy these. I have have two pairs and both are broken, but both are my fault. Well, one of them was anyways. I accidentally was swinging one pair and it hit a desk at my school and split open and then didn't work (one of the ears), which was my fault. My other pair however, I noticed for a while that the housing of the speaker was beginning to split from the plastic part the actual 'holder' was. (If you look at the provided picture, the 'black ring' going around the center came off from the part closer to the wire, with the speaker in it) Eventually through normal use it came out, and upon trying to fix it by gluing the housing back the wire that went to the speaker just snapped off and the headphones were dead.
I still have that pair but cut one of the headphones off and am still looking for a different pair as I want to try out some other brands.
For $20 (I got one for $10 on sale at radioshack a while ago), these headphones deliver a bit above average earbud headphones, but for $20 nothing else on the market I have used compares to these. I want some sturdier ones though so they don't break on me so easily.
Great sound, but flimsy July 14, 2010 Korp (Dallas, Texas) These lasted me a couple weeks, until I took them to work...They are definitely not meant to be used around anything that can catch them and pull, as the cord is not very sturdy in construction. The choice of ear buds is perfect, as the ones that came on the buds originally did not fit my ears, but the other size worked great!
If you are looking for a good sounding pair to carry around with your mp3 player, get these, they are great for the money. But, if you plan on doing anything somewhere where there are things to get the cord caught on, such as hiking or construction work, I would go for a sturdier set.
Dead after 4 months July 13, 2010 Holly E. Rowe I ordered these in late March. They were cute and comfortable. By the beginning of July they were completely dead. I haven't used them in any extraordinary way. I keep them on my iPod, which I keep in a special pocket in my purse. They don't get knocked around. They are just crap.
