4 out of 5 stars great headphones   July 24, 2010
Nathan
These are great headphones with great sound quality and pretty good construction and good design. plus they came with a bandanna a sticker a stencil a bag and a cool system to shorten the length of the cord(which i really like). the only thing that i disliked about them was that fact that they can make my ears hurt after a while of use, but then if i reposition them, they feel better and it takes a while before they hurt again. Unlike what some other people say, the design looks and feels solid and not prone to breaking. i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars only because of the comfort issue, but these are still great headphones for the money.

5 out of 5 stars Great cans!   July 20, 2010

We purchased these for our 12 year old son. He absolutely LOVES them! He picked them out via Amazon and said that he had to have them. The sound quality is awesome and the artwork is hot.

He looks cool, feels cool and the sounds are all cool when he's wearing them. Good job!

2 out of 5 stars Stylish look, okay sound, cheap construction.   July 2, 2010

The thing that drew me in about these Skull Candy headphones was the stylish look. Though they're $50.00, they *looked* much more expensive. They also *looked* as though the sound quality had to be amazing.

Once taking them home I found the sound to be pretty good. Not fantastic, but good enough for a set of big headphones. However within a few weeks one of the plastic extenders snapped in half, rendering the headphones useless.

Figuring it was just a fluke, I went out and bought another pair of these headphones and hoped for the best. It's been a couple of months, and one of the plastic extenders is cracking. It's only a matter of time before it breaks.

Now I don't do anything out of the ordinary with my headphones to make them break, but it seems with their awkward, bulky construction, that putting these things around you neck are its death knell. And even though they look great by themselves, wearing them looks a little silly because the support band sticks out so far from your head. The plastic extenders hold these things together and make them wearable, and they are also the weakest, cheapest, and flimsiest part of their design. Buyer beware, these things can break quite easily.

1 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy!!!   July 2, 2010

These Headphones are complete crap.

If you are thinking about buying these headphones, think again. They are made of cheap materials, and are a complete waste of money. I purchased these back at the beginning of the school year. I am a music lover, and wanted a pair of headphones that would sound good and look cool. I had looked at many pairs, mostly Skullcandy, because they are a name brand and, from what I heard, sounded good. I used these headphones for maybe 2 months, and as I was taking them off my head, the plastic above the left earpiece snapped in half. I was completely disappointed! Since then, I have tried duct tape, glue, anything I can think of to fix them, but it has all failed. I have also recently noticed that the wire is starting to rip in several places. The leather is also very uncomfortable, and leaves red marks around your ears if you listen to music for any length of time.

On to the positives, if there are any. When they weren't falling off my head, the sound quality was decent, and even though they weren't marketed so, they were fairly noise canceling. But looking at all the other people that had the same experience that I did, I would still highly recommend that you stay away from these headphones, or Skullcandy all together.

2 out of 5 stars Only lasted two weeks...   June 14, 2010

The sound quality of these headphones was great for the price, but plastic extenders between the earphone and the head band proved to be the Hesh's Achilles' heel. Mine snapped after less that two weeks of light use. Hopefully a future revision of the Hesh will reinforce this area.
