5 out of 5 stars Great headphones - and they're blue? BONUS!   August 11, 2010

Great headphones so far; have only used them for a couple of days, but they really isolate the ambient noise where you can definitely hear the music. I'd definitely buy these as presents and recommend them to anyone.

3 out of 5 stars Problems with this item   June 14, 2010

Hello, I bought this item 8 months ago and at first they where better then slice bread, but the problem I've ran into is that they come with a extension cord and the headphones, and a carrying case. I found out the hard way not to use the carrying case cause it's to much to but in the all the stuff in the small case, it causes the wires to either to get a short or broken. Now I'm on Amazon to replace the headphones, so my advise is to buy them, they sound great just don't but them in the small case.

4 out of 5 stars Worth the money   April 9, 2010

I purchased my first pair of Shure headphones 3 years ago. I loves the pair I used. For someone who uses them at the gym, at work, they are incredible at eliminating outside sound. I recently noticed that the casing for the cord on my pair was showing signs of wear in a small area. I started picking up white noise in my right ear while I walked. It was time for a new pair. I received the SE115's in the mail and they are even better than my other pair. The bass is better which is one of the important factors for me while I was considering switching to another manufacturer.

I did find the casing to be similar to my previous pair...hopefully this pair will last longer than the first!

Overall, if you're considering this product, I would highly recommend.

3 out of 5 stars Not the best but it will do if you dont know any better   March 20, 2010

Well, after much research, I decided to purchase these earbuds. Shure is a quality name and the price - considering the price of their other products - was within my budget. When I got them I plugged them into my Ipod Touch and gave them a listen. It was ok. I has to set the EQ to "Bass Booster" to get more of a well rounded sound from them. After a week or so, the sound really didnt sit well with me. Something was missing and I couldnt put my finger on it. On a whim, I purchased the
Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones. What a difference! I turned off the "bass Booster" because I didnt need it anymore and found myself in a full dynamic range of music. It was then I could really tell the what these Shure headphones were missing - ALL MID RANGE tones. That explains why I had to turn up the bass in order to fill out the sound. So, the lows from these Shure earbuds are fine, nothing earth shattering, it does the job well. The high tones are clear and high. But its missing all the mid tones and it left my music feeling cold and empty. When I used the
Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones, it had all the mid tones and really filled out the sound on all levels on all the styles of music I listen to. I am very happy with those and was disappointed in the Shure headphones. I expected so much more.
For those who are giving these earbuds a 5 star rating dont know what is expected from a speaker and havent listened to other earbuds to get a sense of how the music is reproduced. I cant give them a 5 star rating though I totally expected to.
If your totally stuck on buying these earbuds and can afford to buy the Klipsch at the same time, you will be able to make a properly informed decision on what sounds the best and how the Shures are lacking. If you cant go that route, pass on these and go with the
Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones. You will also be in love with the Klipsch earbuds as well. And as far as Amazon is concerned, they are the best to work with and I will always deal with them for all my needs.
And just in case your wondering, I listen to all forms of Metal, Quiet Storm, Easy Listening, a bit of Country, a small bit of Hip Hop, Top 40 and General Dance (Madonna to GaGa).

4 out of 5 stars Great sound, uncomfortable for me.   March 15, 2010

Overall these are great quality headphones. The ONLY problem I have is that they are uncomfortable in my ears. It may just be my particular ears not liking the in-ear style.
