I purchased this shure ear phones and even though I am no expert in music I have never heard such great sounds come from my IPOD. I would certainly recomend these ear phones to anyone wanting a great sound for decent price - $90 or so... I had problems keeping it in my ear because I needed smaller rubber pieces and Shure sent me a huge bag for free of all sizes and types of ear pieces... what a great company....

I found that it is very hard to get these headphones to stay in my ears. I can get them in there and the music sounds pretty decent but then a couple minutes later they will just pop right out of my ear canal. (and I have tried all of the included sleeves including foam ones which were a lot better but still would eventually just pop right out.) I found myself constantly fiddling with them once I put them in.
I also would like to say that I found these very uncomfortable, and I could only keep them in for very short periods of time. You are supposed to place the sleeve into your ear canal, and then turn them so that the hard plastic part wedges in your ear and holds them in place, which is actually a pretty good design until a few minutes later when you realize how uncomfortable they really are. I bought them last night and had them in for an hour or so and my ears were very sore when I took them out. They are still sore a day later.
When I was looking on amazon for a good pair of in ear phones I chose these because of all the high ratings. Hopefully this review will get through to someone on here and steer them away. I really wanted these to work, I like the look of them and Shure seems like a great company, but seriously I could not keep a pair of earphones that are this unpleasant to wear. I am now in the market for a nice pair of over the ear phones, they seem to be the most comfortable style, and to me comfort is a number one priority.

While I thought these were a little expensive I was willing to try yet another set of earphones that I hoped would stay in my ears during exercise! Not only do they always stay in, they are FANTASTIC regarding sound quality. They block out background noise VERY well, when I'm in the gym on machines they block out people next to me talking as well as background noise. GREAT for running, they really do stay in with the use of the included large foam attachments. You just escape with the music (or audiobooks on my Ipod)!! Worth every single dollar I paid, no doubt about it. Excellent base. Kudos to the designer of these SCL2's, they are simply great and I will stick with them.

I've had a pair of these ear buds before that I borrowed from a friend and finally got a pair of my own. These headphones do a fabulous job of blocking outside sounds, perfect for airplanes and bus rides. They also come with several pairs of rubber and foam cushions to fit your ear in the best way. My only gripe is that the small carrying case is too small in my opinion; I think it could stand to be a bit bigger so the buds don't have to be squished inside.

These earbuds sound great for the money. Only issue is fit. I have a pair of E4C in ear earbuds from Shure that fit great when used with the triple flanged adapters. These would rank 4 starts if the triple flanged adapters would fit them, but they don't. Don't understand making the post on this line a different size. I probably would not have purchased them if I had known. My mistake. Make posts for all lines uniform and all adapters would fit. A perfect fit for me is not available.
