3 out of 5 stars Decent for the price   September 9, 2010
Nick (Seattle, WA)
The Comfort Plus headphones headphones are alright, especially considering the price. The treble seems attenuated, so I had to use the "Treble Booster" EQ setting on my iPod to get that pumped up to an acceptable level. The bass is slightly boomy, but I've heard much worse.

The noise isolation with these headphones isn't the best. I noticed that quite a bit of ambient noise still seeps in, even after trying all of the different rubber ear caps. However, the "gel body" on the earbuds is very comfortable and seem to reduce the pressure of the headphone against your ear. Additionally, the gel coating helps create a little more of a seal in your ear.

As with all in-ear headphones any movement of the cord is audible. The cord on these seem more audible to me than any other in-ear headphones I've owned. The sound they make almost reminds me of the laser beam gun sounds you hear in sci-fi movies, it's little odd.

Overall, these are fairly decent headphones for a seemingly reasonable price.

The Phillips SHE9750 In-Ear Headphones are worth considering if you are serious about listening to music whether you're at work or at play.

Comfortable, great fidelity, what else can I say? Prior to using the Phillips SHE9750 in ear headphones, I normally listened to music on my MP3 player and SONY D-SJ301 S2 CD Player with wrap around headphones produced by another electronics manufacturer. I paid about $20.00 for the wraparounds.

At similar pricing, the Phillips in-ear headphones are a real bargain, the best I've experienced. The frequency range of 5-23,500 Hz is beyond my hearing range - I don't know about yours. At 103 db output, I can get good volume without having to sacrifice clarity for distortion at higher levels.

With a 3.5mm gold-plated standard stereo jack, these headphones will connect to most small electronic devices like iPods, CD players, digital radios and so on, This package comes complete with a carrying case and 3 sizes of gel-like caps. The angled earpieces feel very natural, are perfect for hours of listening, whether sitting at a desk, running, or involved in some other activity.

Based on my experience, I believe that this moderately priced headphone set will be a popular choice in the near future.

5 out of 5 stars Very Good Headphones- Will Serve Me Well   August 31, 2010

I have stayed away from in-ear headphones all these years for one obvious reason- the risk of hearing loss. Instead I've used the Grado Labs (open ear) SR60 at my PC. To listen to music/TV in bed I've used the Sony MDR-G45 (among others) which is designed to rest on the back of the neck rather than on the head.

These Phillips SHE9750 headphones are my first in-ear headphones. Obviously ear damage can be minimized with volume control and I find these phones to be very, very good to wear in bed. They allow for easy movement because they fit so well. The rubber caps come in three sizes and I like the largest.

Sound quality is really great. The cord and the phones are all sensitive and even when unplugged from the music source the cord will transmit sound to the ears just by touching it. Perhaps it's this sensitivity that makes the phones so good. You can even hear your breath over the cords. This is a keeper.

I recommend these headphones.

5 out of 5 stars The New Wave to Audio Luster   August 31, 2010

I really love these headphones. From the first day they arrived and I trried them out, I loved them. They have a great wrapping style - these things come in a nice package that is made out of tempered plastic so it doesn't smoosh in transit. They are also wrapped gently, not allowing them to kink. you could put them back this way, too, and have them pristine for a long time if you want to. Combine this with the extra little rubber pieces for the inside of your ear - sizing is a wonderful thing - and you are ready.

And this is being ready.

Honestly, I really have to give these things GREAT props for headphones. They have a great feauture all in-ear headphones should have; they have a shape that blocks off the ear. That means you don't have to worry about outside sound. IT does the wonder of working it out because it has a limabean shape that thinks about all that bunk for you and more. Lots more. I use them and notice sounds I notice with my really good headphones, only this is not with my huge set-up. Its with my I-Pod and with my old downloads.
That says a lot - and a lot.

The price is great and the product is as well. So, get them and be happy. I love them and will NOT switch unless they find themselves going off the market - that's how much they mean to me.
Its beautiful.

It's time to throw away the iPod headphones! These make you feel as if you have nothing in your ears and do a wonderful job blocking out other sound. The clarity was pristine. So pristine that one time I turned my head because I thought I heard a real car engine.

Good headphones can be very expensive but these show that quality can be had at a decent price.
