Product Description The SR60s produce brilliant sound for a low cost. The SR60s have a flexible, soft vinyl headband. The headband and earpeices are connected by metal height adjusters, which adjust the height of your head with the center of your ear. These nifty adjusters also allow the earpiece to rotate a full 360 degrees, permitting them to lie flat on a surface--perfect when packing in a suitcase. The SR60s come with Grado's new earpads. The new pads are a soft, porous, open cell foam that covers the driver-- much more comfy. The SR60s offer good sound quality, plus are easily driven by the output of a portable player or inexpensive home equipment-- a nice combination. They come terminated to a mini with a 1/4 inch adapter and have a straight cord that attaches to both earpeices.

What are you waiting for? July 7, 2010 Nikita Gubanov (Massachusetts) I faced the same dilemma as many other buyers faced. Was it worth paying the extra $20 for the sr80i's? In the end, I think not. I listened to both at a local store (where I bought the headphones) and found the difference minute. I was listening to music recorded in FLAC and the bass in the sr80s sounded a bit too overwhelming for my tastes. I don't think you need me to rant on about how good the headphones are in their dynamic ability because there are plenty of high end reviews out there such as the review by Stereophile. I followed other people's recommendations and bent the band back until the phone just barely hold on when I look down. Now I can listen to the headphones for hours without any complaints. When I first got them, I could only listen for about 2 hours before my head hurt, but with less clamping force that complaint is gone.
Good:
Sound - The BEST part about these headphones
Price - While $79 may sound steep, you will never want to listen to anything else
The Bad:
You will be disappointed with any other method of listening to music
Can be uncomfortable, but I have had no problem with them, even after 4 hours of listening
So what are you waiting for? It's time to order yourself a pair of Grado's. You will be happy you did.
Just Right Unless You Wear Glasses June 24, 2010 Chris Redfield 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The only gripe I had was that when wearing glasses a painful pressure lingered on the sides of my head.
amazing headphones for the price May 30, 2010 R. F. Dugger 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
These headphones sound amazing. Much clearer well rounded sound than any other headphone I've owned (Sennheiser, Koss, Bose, Sony, Heil). I find them to be very comfortable as well. I use them mostly with a Sony mp3 player and a portable heaphone amp. They work amazingly well without the amp...however some of the bass is missing at lower volumes, and the difference between "all of the sound" and distortion on little mp3 players is pretty small. This setup gives me much better sound at lower volumes without noticable distortion.
The Headpones look "cheap", but they sound great. It's clear the money goes into the design and electronics, not in packaging. It's puzzeling, as any store with an electronics section sells headphones that cost more than these, but don't sound anywhere near as good. I feel guilty! I've paid much more for headphones that don't sound anywhere near as good "but look better".
Thank you Grado! I hope you are making a a fair profit on these. If not, raise your prices.
Excellent detail in sound, open design performs very well May 24, 2010 Martin Tesar (Australia) How nice to finally own headphones that provide detail and clarity that
goes well past many brand names.
Well done Grado excellent open style clamp headphones, this style may not be
for everyone of the younger gereneration.
I would definetley recommend who enjoy great sound over looks.
PS I don't see them when I wear them!
Good product May 9, 2010 William B. Howard (Simsbury, CT United States) I have several headphones, and these are the best. Comfortable and excellent sound quality. Easily adjusted for a good fit. The look like high quality as does the packaging. I haven't had long enough to comment on the durability of the ear pads, but replacements are available at a reasonable price.
