5 out of 5 stars Horrible sound, stay away. I Tried them and returned them.better options listed   July 6, 2010

for the money$120 they had horrible sound, but the track control/play music pick up calls worked perfectly and the button and mic were nicely made. They looked cool, but sounded horrible. I think because the driver is only like 2mm's they had no bass or response. They were $120 and I thought my search was over when I ordered them. I let them burn in and still the sound was poor.
I went with the: Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220vi Noise Isolating Earphones w/ Microphone, these blow them away, bass and mid and low all dialed in ,and for $91 cheaper. I dont understand how these can charge you so much for something with poor sound.
and for even less money,try:
Scosche Increased Dynamic Range Noise Isolation Earphones with tapLINE II Remote and Mic
-These are not compatible with the palm Pixie, so I had to return them. Too bad the sound was great, Ultimate Ears is better but really good especially for the price. the tap line and mic seem well constructed and they look cool too.
>Scosche IDR650M Dynamic Range Earphones with TapLINE Control Technology Scosche IDR650M Dynamic Range Earphones with TapLINE Control Technology
-same thing with these, I ordered them both hoping that one of the two models were compatible with Palm phones.
+Also get a SquareTrade warranty(no matter what you pick), for a few extra bucks they are the #1 warranty and cheaper that anyone else. I use them for everything electronic and appliance. A no brainer!

5 out of 5 stars love these!! great with iphone 3G   June 20, 2010

I love this brand and so bought these headphones based on that alone. They are great. The earpieces give you flexibility in finding the perfect fit - they are about the only ones that come with the flanges (vs the rounded earbuds). I had always been skeptical of using headphones and a microphone with the phone as I didnt think it would work, but I use these all the time. I used to hate talking on my cell phone but now I almost prefer it because I can hear really well with these, and other people can hear me. I have recently used them on the train, in a coffee shop, and just puttering around the house in 'hands free' mode. the sound quality for music is also excellent - they are good at noise cancelling as well - I use them whenever there is a loud child or other distraction on the train and I want to focus.

I absolutely love these inear earphones.. I have 2 different pair of the Bose headphones and have always been bothered by the sonic quality ... After hearing a review by Leo LaPorte that he only uses the Etymotics I gave them a try . I fell in love with them .. Use them on the plane constantly .. they are true authentic noise reducing devices .. Just by the nature of their design... The dynamic range is incredible...

4 out of 5 stars Works with Moto Droid   March 16, 2010

Although I'd read lots of good things about these, an email to Etymotic's support line about Android compatibility came back with "We have no information on that". So I went ahead and ordered a pair anyways, knowing that Amazon.com would accept a return if they didn't work.

The good news is that basic audio out and microphone input work correctly with the Moto Droid. I can listen to music and audio as well as make phone calls using the inline mic.

5 out of 5 stars Great sound, perfect fit!!!   February 17, 2010

I had a REALLY hard time finding earphones that fit my small ears/ear canals without falling out or causing pain. I tried Sony's, Sennheisers, Shure's, UE and some others without any success. Over-the-ear headphones aggravated my TMJ and were out of question. I tried different in-ear earphones, but never got good fit. Even the smallest and softest silicone eartips were too painful for me. (I guess my ear canals are really small and sensitive) Finally I bought Etymotic Research HF5 and was almost crying of joy - perfect fit (with small flanged earpieces), no pain after almost 6 hrs of use. I did not even feel that I had them on!!! These cute blue earphones were the BEST!!! Needless to say, HF2's were my first choice after I upgraded to iPhone 3GS. Same high quality sound and comfort plus the microphone. Simply the best!!! Unfortunately, I lost my cobalt blue HF2's last week (after only 4 months of use), but was pleasantly surprised with brand new Ruby red HF2 set that my husband got me for Valentine's Day. To make it short, if your ears are small and sensitive, invest in Etymotic Research earphones before buying any others (cheap or expensive)!
