Amazingly poor sound January 7, 2009 Howard Cox (Arlington, TX USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I spent some time reading reviews before finally settling on these earbuds and when they arrived, I was dissapointed to say the least. These have the tinniest and brightest sound I've ever heard from a set of earbuds. I tried different positions in my ear and different earpieces and the sound may have improved a little, but at best, not even as good as the Apple earbuds that come with iPods. These are going back to Amazon today.
I have these and they are ok August 22, 2008 D. Dallas (Linthicum Md) I bought a set of these and used them out in the yard for mowing and yard work with my ipod. They fit very nicely without hurting my ears and have excellent sound cancellation. The only thing they do not have is good bass response. The audio quality is absolutely awesome. I just wish they had a bit more bass. I bought a set of V-Moda bass freq headphones and for the money they are worth the money! I bought sets for my Mom and Sister and they love em!
Worth every penny February 8, 2008 G. J. Weber (IL United States) Great sound, great at blocking outside noise. It makes your life better when you have the option of blocking out distractions. I don't have direct experience to compare it to competitors, but if you don't get this inner ear headphone, get a competitor, but get one for sure.
No Bass? No Fit Right!!! November 1, 2007 Daniel Lenzmeier 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are awesome!! For those who complain about lack of bass you have to fit them and insert them correctly. If you can pull them out of your ears easily they are not in right. I've read about and tried many of these type of phones and every review has a few people complaining about the same thing. If you take the time to fit them and insert them correctly they rock.
Broke in 5 months June 5, 2007 geekmeister (Chicago, IL USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The product is made with lightweight wire which pulled free of the iPod plug within 5 months. Etymotic wanted $76 to replace them "under warranty." That's not going to happen.
